As Thanksgiving came and went, and we all looked ahead to the holidays, pretty much every conversation with friends and neighbors made it’s way to the familiar chorus of, “what are you doing for winter break?” …to which I said, “we’ll be around, hopefully go skiing a bunch of days”.
But then we got lots of mild days and lots of rain. Like – monsoon style atmospheric river situations that had at least two different people calling me just to ask how we were faring with “the weather”. The news is so dramatic. Also east coasters have no concept of the distance between Seattle and Vancouver, WA. So toilet rats in Seattle were triggering folks in the 718 to dial long distance while all I was doing was wiping my dogs paws and maxing out my wiper blades.
But now on Christmas Day, as my family naps on the couch all around me, I’m googling the Ski situation on Hood and Lo! Behold! Meadows is open!
